Islamorada, Florida Keys

Beach sand, coconut palms & Atlantic
Typical wood fishing skiff, Typical Dock & Atlantic

This photo I found on the web, date unknown, looks identical to our 1950s "Casa Van Nest" estate – so identical I think it may even be the same place on "Millionaire's Mile" in "Old" Islamorada. We even had a similar coconut palm that bent out over the water (pushed over by a hurricane, then turned upward as it continued to grow).

Even the wood, outboard skiff, though it looks about 3-4 ft. (1 m.) shorter, looks similar. My boat was a lighter, sea-blue, also flat-bottom wood, 18 ft. (5½ m.) outboard fishing-skiff.
