Updated 2004.01.08 – Ok, we don’t celebrate the Christian New Year, but I thought it might be fun to see how I stack up against all of the leading prognosticators who are receiving so much buzz from the media. So here’s my predictions for 2004:
The U.S. Embassy in Iraq’s capital will be closer to completion at the end of 2004 than the already-56-year-overdue U.S. Embassy in Israel’s capital
So-called peacemakers will continue to pressure Israel to make irreversible concessions in return for nothing but words from Arafat and the terrorist organizations of the West Bank and Gaza.
There will be no end of those who proclaim, “If Israel just gives them a little more the Arabs will stop their terrorism.”
Britain, France and other European countries, as well as Canada, will be confronted with the recognition that Muslim dreams of dominance coupled with Muslims’ willingness to employ terror to achieve their goals is a primary threat to their way of life.
Britain, France and other European countries, as well as Canada, will, as a result of the previous prediction, be confronted with miso-Judaism of a magnitude not seen since the Nazis. Anyone doubting that is invited to read the arguments section of London’s “The Independent” newspaper website (www.independent.co.uk).
Pakistan’s and Saudi Arabia’s covert dabblings in WMD proliferation and funding of terror-oriented Islam will persuade the U.S. that fence-sitters cannot be treated as allies. ( Whoda thunk Americans still wouldn't learn???)
There will still be some who call for yet-another-version of an Oslo-like 'Pizza Process'
Terror will continue, but will be reduced in the U.S. and Israel in proportion to the hard line taken against terror, and in Israel it will also be in proportion to completing ‘de-Fence’ as well as unceasing hunts to neutralize terrorists, as well as those who send them and those who idolize and support them, before they can strike. Where terrorists are given the chance it’s called a soft target and they will strike it.
Britain, France and Europe, as well as Canada, will see increasing terror as a result of their allowing large and intensely violent-prone Muslim groups to sprout up in their midst and grow to proportions that will now be painful to contain.
The West will begin to realize that the great majority of Muslims will strongly resist helping the “infidels” find Muslim terrorists in their midst. Moderate Muslims will continue to be a dominated group largely too afraid of their Wahhabi brethren to speak out. Muslim terrorists will periodically strike Muslim “collaborators,” just as they’ve long been doing in the West Bank.
The race will intensify, and culminate one way or another, for the U.S. to work out an agreement with Iran to stop their nuclear ambitions before Israel feels it has no alternative but to eliminate an existential threat. (If Israel hadn’t stopped Iraq’s nuclear threat, Saddam would still be in power AND have the bomb!)
Secular elements in Israel will make further inroads in the status quo, causing the religious Right to, yet again, turn toward fanaticism and recede further into Dark Ages mentality, causing even further erosion of Judaism in Israel. A more modern-oriented Orthodox Judaism will begin to distinguish itself from the Dark Ages fanatic Judaism.
Homosexuals will continue, with the help of Hollywood and “political correctness,” to strive for acceptance on par with heterosexuality and marriage. Other forms of pornography and perversion will successfully ride on the back of the homosexual campaign, further magnifying the spiraling decadence in America and the breakdown of family and family values in America.
Islam will be more successful in arguing the America’s increasing decadence proves they are, indeed, the “Satanic Infidel.” Christians and Jews will increasingly reach the same conclusion.
2004 will be an extraordinarily challenging, and trying, year; and may well be a watershed year that prejudices Israel’s future for decades, or even centuries, to come. Failure to implement my Concurrent Villages Network instead of Sharon’s granting of a Palestinian state would go down in history as the greatest defeat of Israel since the destruction of the Beit ha-Mi•qᵊdâshꞋ ha-Shein•iꞋ, even greater than the Bar-KōkhꞋvâ defeat.
