![]() 2011.10.16, 1200 Yәru•shâ•la′yim Universal Time Book Report: The Conflict of the Church and the Synagogue" (James Parkes), submitted by Stephanie M., Heber Springs, Arkansas While circa first-century Rome attempted to accommodate it's Yehudi citizens, increasing intolerance for religious privileges soon brought Yehudim into a position of disfavor. Later, areligious attitudes and political agendas expedited this disfavor, bringing misojudaism and persecution throughout the Diaspora. Apostates, as they formed C*hristianity, fabricated misojudaic documents at an alarming rate, catalyzing the hatred of the Yehudim and their Torah. C*hristian writers depicted Yehudim as being barbaric, concerned only with keeping to an imperfect Law (lehavdil), and of forfeiting the promises given to them. This misojudaism still remains today, having been ignited and fueled by Rome and the church.
