Vision Of AvᵊrâmꞋ: The Name-changing Bᵊrit

At age 99, AvᵊrâmꞋ had another vision of ה', this time saying, "I am Eil Shad•aiꞋ.¹ Get busy in harmony with Me and be tâm•imꞋ. I will give My bᵊrit between Me and you and will multiply you more and more."

Kᵊna•anꞋ, the Sinai and the Nile Delta

Then AvᵊrâmꞋ went down on his face and Ël•oh•imꞋ spoke with him saying, "I – look at My bᵊrit – am with you! So you shall be for a father of ham•ōnꞋ goy•imꞋ. Your name shall no longer be called AvᵊrâmꞋ, but shall be Avᵊrâ•hâmꞋ; for I have given you to be the father of ham•ōnꞋ goy•imꞋ. I will make you very, very fruitful, I will give you for goy•imꞋ, and mᵊlâkh•imꞋ shall issue from you. I will uphold My bᵊrit between Me and you, and between your seed after you for their generations, for a bᵊrit o•lamꞋ; to be Ël•oh•imꞋ for you and for your generations after you. And I will give to you, and to your seed after you, the land of your residences – the entire land of Kᵊna•anꞋ for your estate o•lamꞋ – and they shall have Me for an Ël•oh•imꞋ.

The Bᵊrit

Then Ël•oh•imꞋ said to Avᵊrâ•hâmꞋ, "So, you watchguard the bᵊrit, you and your seed after you for their generations. This is My bᵊrit that you shall watchguard, between Me and you, and your seed after you: Every male you have shall be circumcised; you shall circumcise the flesh of the foreskin and it shall be the sign of the bᵊrit between Me and you.

At the age of 8 days, every one of your males shall be circumcised for your generations, whether he is born in the household or adopted from any gentile who is not of your seed; and this shall be My bᵊrit in your flesh for a bᵊrit o•lamꞋ. Any uncircumcised male who will not circumcise the flesh of his foreskin, his nëphꞋësh shall be excised from his am – he has breached My bᵊrit.

Woman Is Integral To Bᵊrit – Sâr•aiꞋ Becomes SârꞋâh

Then Ël•oh•imꞋ said to Avᵊrâ•hâmꞋ, "Sâr•aiꞋ, your woman, shall no longer be called by the name Sâr•aiꞋ because SârꞋâh is her name. I will bless her and give you a son by her. So I shall bless her, and for the goy•imꞋ kings of kindreds shall be by her.

Then Avᵊrâ•hâmꞋ went down on his face wa-Yi•tzᵊkhâqꞋ about his dream, thinking, "Is a son going to be born to a 100 year-old man? Shall SârꞋâh, a 90 year-old woman, conceive and give birth?"

So Avᵊrâ•hâmꞋ proposed to Ël•oh•imꞋ, "If only Yi•shᵊm•â•eilꞋ would live in accordance with You."

Birth of Yi•tzᵊkhâqꞋ Envisioned

Ël•oh•imꞋ said, "To the contrary, your woman, SârꞋâh, shall give birth to your son, and you shall call his name Yi•tzᵊkhâqꞋ. And I will uphold My bᵊrit with him for a bᵊrit o•lamꞋ for his seed after him."²

"Concerning Yi•shᵊm•â•eilꞋ," He continued, "I have heard you. I have blessed him and will make him more and more fruitful as well. He will give birth to 12 Tribal Chieftans and I will enable him to become a great goy.

But I will raise up My bᵊrit with Yi•tzᵊkhâqꞋ to whom SârꞋâh shall give birth for you at this appointed season next year. So Ël•oh•imꞋ finished talking with Avᵊrâ•hâmꞋ and ascended from him.

Avᵊrâ•hâmꞋ Circumcises All The Males Of His Household

Based on that ëm•un•âhꞋ, i.e. תִּקְוָה, Avᵊrâ•hâmꞋ circumcised Yi•shᵊm•â•eilꞋ and every male in the household that same day, including all of the servants born in the household as well as every male who had been adopted. Avᵊrâ•hâmꞋ was 90 years old when he circumcised himself; and his son, Yi•shᵊm•â•eilꞋ, was 13 years old when he was circumcised.

Ha•phᵊtâr•âhꞋ 

The circuit of the earth as understood by ancient astronomers. Modern scientists have a different view of the "circuits" of the planets and journeyings of the stars in a solar system.

Context: "The Foundation of the earth is He Who is sitting above the circuit of the earth, Who nōt•ëhꞋ shâ•maꞋyim like a film; Who pulls them along their circuits like pulling tent ropes when pitching a tent.

וְקוֹיֵ י‑‑ה—not trusters in any 'holy-man' cleric (rabbi, priest, imam or guru)—יַחֲלִיפוּ כֹחַ; i.e., shall be infused with the Power of His RuꞋakh ha-QoꞋdësh.

So Yi•sᵊr•â•eilꞋ, you are My worker; Ya•a•qovꞋ, whom I chose – the seed of My friend, Avᵊrâ•hâmꞋ."
