Ancient Near East (c. BCE 2000-1550, Mi•dᵊyânꞋ |
Yi•tᵊr•ōꞋ, a kō•heinꞋ of Mi•dᵊyânꞋ and Mōsh•ëhꞋ's father-in-law, heard about the 10 Mak•ōtꞋ and the Yᵊtzi•âhꞋ.
Before the ordeal of the 10 Mak•ōtꞋ and the Yᵊtzi•âhꞋ, Mōsh•ëhꞋ had sent his wife, Tzi•pōr•âhꞋ, back to live with her father, Yi•tᵊr•ōꞋ, along with their two sons, Geirshōm (named because Mōsh•ëhꞋ said "I was a geir in an ërꞋëtz nâ•khᵊr•iyꞋ") and Ël•i•ëzꞋër (named because Mōsh•ëhꞋ said "ël•oh•imꞋ of my father was my ËꞋzᵊr•â , saving me from the sword of Par•ohꞋ"). Thus, Yi•tᵊr•ōꞋ brought Mōsh•ëhꞋ's family to him, where Yi•sᵊr•â•eilꞋ was camping in the mi•dᵊbârꞋ — at Har ha-ël•oh•imꞋ.
“That which you eschew, don't inflict on your fellow! That's the whole entirety of Tōr•âhꞋ, what remains is pei•rush•âhꞋ. Now, go-weave your lifetime-learning.” (RabꞋi Hi•leilꞋ)
After an initial exchange of welcoming greetings, Mōsh•ëhꞋ bought Yi•tᵊr•ōꞋ into his tent and briefed him on all of the developments of the 10 Mak•ōtꞋ and Yᵊtzi•âhꞋ.
Upon hearing the marvelous things that é‑‑ä had accomplished for Yi•sᵊr•â•eilꞋ, Yi•tᵊr•ōꞋ exuberated.
Then Yi•tᵊr•ōꞋ pronounced a bᵊrâkh•âhꞋ: "Bâ•rukhꞋ at•âhꞋ é‑‑ä, Who has rescued yall from the hand of the Mi•tzᵊraꞋyim and from the hand of Par•ohꞋ; and Who has rescued the am from beneath the hand of the Mi•tzᵊraꞋyim!"
Now I know that é‑‑ä is greater than any of the other ël•oh•imꞋ; because of this matter that boiled-over on them.
So Yi•tᵊr•ōꞋ, Mōsh•ëhꞋ's father-in-law, grilled-up sacrificed-livestock to ël•oh•imꞋ. Accordingly, A•ha•ronꞋ and all of the Zi•qᵊn•eiꞋ Yi•sᵊrâ•eilꞋ, enjoyed a banquet-dinner send-off, celebrating the conversion of Mōsh•ëhꞋ's father-in-law before ha-ël•oh•imꞋ.

Mi•dᵊyân•imꞋ worshiped the Egyptian idol, Hât-HōrꞋ, at Ti•mᵊnâꞋ, in the Israeli NëgꞋëv; and, perhaps supplementally, BaꞋal of Pᵊōr and Ash•tōrꞋët.
Bivouacking only 63 km (39 mi) NW of the biggest copper mines in the ancient world, at Ti•mᵊnâꞋ in the NëgꞋëv, was central to the vital manufacturing of bronze weapons for Yi•sᵊr•â•eilꞋ's burgeoning military.
