“Seven days you shall eat matz•âhꞋ.
“A fortiori, on the first day you shall put an end to sᵊōr from your households; because the nëphꞋësh of anyone who eats khâ•meitzꞋ—from Day 1 [of Khag ha-Matz•ōtꞋ] through Day 7— shall be kâ•reitꞋ from Yi•sᵊr•â•eilꞋ. ” (Shᵊm•ōtꞋ 12:15)
In the days leading up to PësꞋakh, Jews clean every trace of khâ•meitzꞋ from all of their property; from all of their cutlery, cookware and kitchenware to their refrigerator(s), oven and range; from their children's backpacks to work satchels and automobiles, camping gear, boats, rented storage units, etc. This culminates, on the eve of (Biblical calendar) 1stmonth 13,
(No bᵊrâkh•âhꞋ is recited.)
Final בִּטּוּל ׂ(in Aramaic)
Do not be party to any Mᵊkhir•atꞋ Khâ•meitzꞋ, which is a rabbinic fake from Dark Ages Europe! Plan ahead and reduce your purchases of Khâ•meitzꞋ beginning a couple of months before PësꞋakh. Whatever remains must be burned-up in Bei•ūrꞋ Khâ•meitzꞋ.
The Tei•mân•imꞋ don’t “seed” rooms with morsels of khâ•meitzꞋ (for children to find). The fallacy of “seeding” rooms is based on the false-premise that a בְּדִיקָה that finds no חָמֵץ is unsuccessful and, therefore, a preceding bᵊrâkh•âhꞋ recited for the בְּדִיקָה would be in vain (therefore, the Name would have been invoked in vain). However, a בְּדִיקָה of a clean room isn’t expected to find חָמֵץ. If the בְּדִיקָה is conducted conscientiously then the mi•tzᵊwâhꞋ was satisfied. Ergo, the bᵊrâkh•âhꞋ wasn’t in vain at all—and the rabbinic reasoning is demonstrated to be the logical fallacy of ex falso quodlibet!
The Tei•mân•imꞋ don’t use a feather, wooden spoon, nor a knife, nor a morsel of bread in a bowl.
Searching is supervised by a parent for safety, using a replica ancient oil-lamp (or single-wicked wax candle; not a flashlight) with electric lights off in the room being searched, to experience how our ancient forefathers conducted their search.
Before burning, separate morsels into small pieces, allowing air in-between, for easier burning.
Burning may be accomplished in a charcoal or gas grill, fireplace, wood stove, outdoor campfire or other safe fire.
