When have you felt most holy?
Pause and think back. Perhaps at a religious musical presentation? Listening to some revered religious speaker? Being at some revered religious site?
It should mightily scare you that devotees of other religions, and abusers of drugs, routinely feel equally holy, often far more so – regularly experiencing states of ecstasy, for similar reasons – in their religion. And so do drug abusers! Therefore, their religion – or drug use – is more "right" than your religion? They are closer to God? Emotional ecstasy? Really?
Feelings is the religion pursued by Christians; and, as a result, Christianity beats Tor•âhꞋ, hands down, in producing feelings of perceived 'holiness,' as well as any other religious feelings one might desire. Everything in Christianity – from the composition and order of liturgy to lighting and "invitational music" leading up to the invitation – derives from the selectivity of interpretation introduced by Hellenist nihilism and orbits around the central motif of… emotions.
What is 'holy' as it was understood in the time of RibꞋi Yᵊho•shuꞋa?
Qum•rânꞋ scroll (4Q) MMT (Mi•qᵊtz•atꞋ Ma•as•ëh′ ha-Tor•âh′) demonstrates conclusively that this necessarily means as it was understood in Tor•âhꞋ. First, therefore, ÷ÈãåÉùÑ was, and remains, defined by Tor•âhꞋ… and Tor•âhꞋ defines ÷ÈãåÉùÑ as doing one's utmost to practice Tor•âhꞋ non-selectively. Thus, and this cannot be overemphasized, ÷ÈãåÉùÑ is what one practices, not what one feels!
Contrary To Christian Distortion: Tor•âhꞋ Does Not Require Perfection!!!
Contrary to Christian assertions, Tor•âhꞋ doesn't require for us to be perfect! Rather, Tor•âhꞋ requires that a person do his utmost—not perfectly—to live in accordance with the indivisible Whole of Tor•âhꞋ. é‑‑ä takes care of our imperfection through His provision of tᵊshuv•âhꞋ and resulting ki•purꞋ: thereby restoring us to the state of ÷ÈãåÉùÑ through His – no other's – khësꞋëd.
So what does Tor•âhꞋ say (Hezekiah 7.3)? "÷ÀãåÉùÑÄéí úÌÇøÀâÄéùÑåÌ".
Oops!?!
That's not what Tor•âhꞋ says at all!!! Tor•âhꞋ says (wa-Yi•qᵊr•âꞋ 19.2): "÷ÀãåÉùÑÄéí úÌÄäÀéåÌ."
Feelings, by contrast, include temptations, desires, lusts, personal satisfaction, insecurity, anger, guilt, nihilism, etc. – emotions.
Immediately following the mi•tzᵊwâhꞋ to be ÷ÈãåÉùÑ in wa-Yi•qᵊr•âꞋ 19.2 we find how Tor•âhꞋ understands ÷ÈãåÉùÑ: "feel reverence for your mother and father" (verse 3)? "Don't feel like praying to idols" (verse 4)?
In Pâ•râsh•atꞋ Ki Teitz•eiꞋ we find examples like (22.1) "Don't feel like avoiding responsibility for your brother's property?" And (22.5) "Women shouldn't feel like wearing men's apparel" and "Men shouldn't feel like wearing women's apparel"?
Tor•âhꞋ is replete with 613 such examples… none of which mentions "feelings" and, by contrast, every one requires non-selective implementation in one's practice.
Emotions / "Feelings" aren't even mentioned in the Bible.
The Hebrew word for "feel" in this sense, the hiph•ilꞋ (causal active transitive) verb äÄøÀâÌÄéùÑ, isn't even found in Ta•na"khꞋ! The Hebrew verbs translated into English as "feel" have nothing to do with "feel" in this emotional sense. In other words, there is no Biblical support whatsoever for the "religious" pursuit of "feelings" in the guise of "holiness."
Emotions ("Feelings") that conflict with keeping Tor•âhꞋ are Unholy!
Therefore, that "spirit" is Sâ•tânꞋ, demonic; Not Holy!!!
Worse, pursuing "feelings" of "holiness" (in contrast to "practice" of ÷ÈãåÉùÑ), when they conflict with keeping Tor•âhꞋ, are, by the definition that RibꞋi Yᵊho•shuꞋa accepted and taught, the exact opposite of ÷ÈãåÉùÑ! "Holiness" that substitutes Tor•âhꞋ with Displacement Theology is defined by the Tor•âhꞋ that RibꞋi Yᵊho•shuꞋa accepted and taught as unholiness!!! Moreover, following the "spirit" of such false "holiness" is then exposed as following a spirit of unholiness in the guise of "holiness" – a deception of Sâ•tânꞋ… and demonic!!!
So, if ♫ You've lost that holy feelin' ♪ while doing your utmost to practice Tor•âhꞋ non-selectively – Kol ha-kâ•vodꞋ. You're on the right track to being ÷ÈãåÉùÑ instead of substituting merely feelin' "holy".
